Summary

This role is ideal for a seasoned Full-Stack Generalist with 5+ years of experience who thrives in high-growth environments. If you are a product-minded engineer who enjoys moving between the backend and frontend to solve user-facing problems, this position offers the chance to lead critical growth initiatives like onboarding and referral systems. Experience in e-commerce or social platforms is a significant plus. The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $170k to $230k, supplemented by a robust benefits package that includes a 4% 401k match and generous allowances for home office, wellness, and childcare. While the role is "remote co-located," you must live within commuting distance of their hubs in Seattle, LA, NYC, or SF to participate in in-person planning and problem-solving. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have a track record of running A/B tests and using data to drive new user conversion. * Enjoy "dogfooding" the product—buying and selling on the platform to understand the user journey. * Prefer thinking about user impact and product goals over just technical architecture. * Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and ownership in a fast-paced, "lean-into-action" culture.

The Buyer Growth team is responsible for driving Whatnot’s top-of-funnel growth and first-time buyer success. We focus on acquisition, activation, and early retention, partnering closely with product, data, design, and marketing to build experiences that bring new users into the ecosystem and turn them into loyal customers.
