Summary

This role is ideal for a seasoned infrastructure or security-minded engineer with at least 5 years of experience, specifically within hyper-growth startup environments. You should be comfortable building large-scale distributed systems and have a deep technical interest in Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM). While the stack includes Python, Elixir, and JavaScript, the team values architectural expertise in cryptography, authentication protocols, and PII data protection over specific language fluency. The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $180,000 to $250,000, complemented by a robust benefits package. This includes unique perks like a "dogfooding" budget to shop on the platform, an employer 401k match, and generous family planning benefits. While the team is "remote co-located," you must live within commuting distance of their hubs in SF, LA, NYC, or Seattle for in-person collaboration. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have designed and scaled authorization or permissioning systems for millions of users. * Thrive in fast-paced environments where you can ship code "lightning-fast" with minimal direction. * Are an expert in security fundamentals like encryption, access controls, and data minimization. * Enjoy the intersection of infrastructure engineering and user trust.
