Summary

This role is ideal for a mid-level Android Engineer who is passionate about developer experience and infrastructure. You should have experience scaling mobile applications and a desire to build the "internal" tools—think frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and shared UI components—that help other feature teams move faster. While the focus is Android, an open-minded approach to technology (including an interest in Rust or AI tools) is highly valued. The position offers a competitive salary range of $150k – $180k plus equity. It is a New York-based hybrid role requiring three "Anchor Days" (Mon/Tue/Thu) in-office. This is a high-impact platform team where you aren't just building features; you are shaping the entire architecture and release process for a product used by millions. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Are proficient in **Kotlin, Jetpack Compose,** and asynchronous programming with **Coroutines**. * Enjoy improving build systems and mobile CI/CD to boost team velocity. * Prioritize "polish" and app performance over just shipping code. * Have a curiosity for computing history and enjoy working at the intersection of tech and humanities.
