Summary

This role is ideal for a technically sharp, customer-facing engineer who thrives at the intersection of pre-sales strategy and post-sales implementation. You should be a JavaScript/TypeScript expert, ideally with deep roots in the Next.js ecosystem, who can architect complex web applications. Since Vercel is at the forefront of the "AI-native web," experience with AI SDKs and agentic workflows will give you a significant edge. The compensation is highly competitive, with an OTE reaching up to $301,000 plus equity. While the role offers remote flexibility, it features a unique "hybrid-remote" model: you’ll enjoy a full home-office setup budget, but if you live near SF, NYC, or Austin, you'll join the team in-office three days a week. This is a high-impact position where you influence the product roadmap by acting as the primary technical voice for enterprise customers. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have a strong portfolio of building or architecting modern web apps using Next.js and React. * Can confidently lead technical "proof of concepts" and navigate security/compliance reviews with enterprise stakeholders. * Are excited about moving beyond standard web apps into AI-powered workflows and edge computing. * Enjoy "quarterbacking" the customer journey, from the initial demo to long-term architectural optimization.

Job Description

## About Vercel:

Vercel gives developers the tools and cloud infrastructure to build, scale, and secure a faster, more personalized web. As the team behind v0, Next.js, and AI SDK, Vercel helps customers like Ramp, Supreme, PayPal, and Under Armour build for the AI-native web.

## About the Role:

As a Solution Architect in the Field Engineering team, you will span both technical pre‑sales and post‑sales, serving as a trusted advisor to our enterprise customers throughout their lifecycle. In pre‑sales, you will qualify technical fit, design future‑state architectures, run evaluations, and demonstrate how Vercel unlocks measurable business outcomes. Post-sales, you will act as a technical quarterback, helping customers successfully adopt and standardize on Vercel by aligning the right resources at the right time. You will guide architecture and implementation decisions, identify when to engage Professional Services or Developer Success, and work across Product and Engineering to unblock customers and drive long-term success for critical AI and Web workloads.
