The Actuarial Information Services Department’s Global Specialty team is looking for a skilled Sr. Data Engineer to join us.  Our ideal candidate will leverage deep technical expertise and strong communication skills to deliver both invest and maintenance projects within the Global Specialty portfolio.  Our team delivers Global Specialty data to internal business partners.  We support Enterprise Wide and Actuarial initiatives by providing expertise in Global Specialty data knowledge.  This role is essential for ensuring high quality and timely data reporting to internal business partners.

To excel in this role, you will need technical leadership, exceptional communication skills, experience in data analysis and strong technical abilities to gather required data from various data sources for requirements gathering.  You will engage with a diverse array of business partners, including actuarial teams, finance departments and IT partners across the enterprise.

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
