Work type: onsite
Location: New York, New York, United States; San Francisco, California, United States; Seattle, Washington, United States
Salary: $212,000 – $265,000/yr
Type: Full-time
This role is designed for a heavyweight analytics leader with **10+ years of experience** who thrives at the intersection of product strategy and advanced data science. You aren’t just running queries; you are defining the "North Star" metrics for a high-growth Series D health-tech company. The ideal candidate has deep technical roots in **Bayesian experimentation** and **causal inference**, but also possesses the executive presence to influence product roadmaps and mentor junior team members. The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from **$212,000 to $265,000**, plus significant equity. Despite being an **on-site role** in NYC, SF, or Seattle, the benefits package is robust, featuring 16 weeks of parental leave, a year-end holiday break, and specialized perks like therapy reimbursement and fertility support. This is a rare opportunity to own the decision engine for a mission-critical platform in the mental healthcare space. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have mastered SQL and Python/R for building reusable, production-grade analytical workflows. * Can explain complex causal inference or experimentation guardrails to non-technical stakeholders. * Prefer working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment where you define the measurement strategy rather than following a pre-existing one. * Are passionate about using data to make mental healthcare more accessible and affordable.
Headway’s mission is a big one – to build a new mental health care system everyone can access. We’ve built technology that helps people find great therapists with the first software-enabled national network of providers accepting insurance.
1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but the majority of providers don’t accept insurance, making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access by making it easy for therapists to accept insurance and scale their practice.
Headway was founded in 2019. Since then, we’ve grown into a diverse, national network of over 60,000 mental healthcare providers across all 50 states who run their practice on our software and have served over 1 million patients. We’re a Series D company with over $325m in funding from a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), Accel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Spark Capital, Thrive Capital, Forerunner Ventures and Health Care Service Corporation.
We want your time here to be the most meaningful experience of your career. Join us, and help change mental healthcare for the better.
