Summary

This role is designed for a heavyweight data leader who thrives at the intersection of Finance and Machine Learning. While the listing mentions "mid-level" seniority, the requirements clearly target an expert with 8+ years of experience and a Master’s or PhD. You are the right fit if you can transition seamlessly from architecting dbt pipelines to presenting AI-driven revenue forecasts to the C-suite. The compensation is highly competitive, reaching up to $269,500 plus equity, reflecting the "Staff" level responsibility of building a financial data strategy from the ground up. Although the role is hybrid (3x/week in San Francisco), it offers a mission-driven environment where your work directly impacts global fundraising and fraud prevention. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have deep expertise in SQL, Python, and modern data stacks like Snowflake or Databricks. * Can design and deploy ML models for time-series forecasting, fraud detection, and anomaly detection. * Are comfortable using LLMs and AI coding agents to automate complex financial reporting and workflows. * Understand the nuances of payments (Stripe/Adyen), GAPP, and revenue reconciliation.
