You should be a full-stack expert (React/Python/Go) with a proven track record of architecting high-scale systems, specifically within monetization, payments, or SaaS subscription models. As a Staff Engineer, you aren’t just coding; you are a mentor to 15+ engineers and a strategic partner to Product and Data Science teams. The compensation is highly competitive, reaching up to **$302,200** for Zone 2 locations, alongside the stability of a mature tech giant and the flexibility of a fully remote "Virtual First" environment. ## Role Description

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Growth Monetization team within Core Growth Engineering, you will play a crucial role in optimizing how millions of users discover, trial, and purchase Dropbox products. You'll lead technical strategy for our checkout, trial, conversion, and subscription systems—directly impacting revenue growth and customer retention.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you'll architect and build AI-forward solutions to personalize the customer journey, optimize conversion funnels, and reduce churn. You'll partner closely with Product, Data Science, and Design to define the future of Dropbox monetization while mentoring a team of 15 engineers across experience levels.

Your work will have immediate, measurable business impact. You'll get substantial exposure to Growth leadership, shape the technical direction of a critical revenue-driving platform, and help build a best-in-class monetization engineering practice.
