This role is designed for a seasoned backend expert with at least 8 years of experience, specifically someone who thrives in architecting high-volume, event-driven systems. Totaling "Staff" level responsibility despite the "Mid-level" seniority tag, you should be an expert in **TypeScript/NestJS** and **Domain-Driven Design (DDD)**. It’s a hybrid role requiring two days in-office, making it ideal for those near San Francisco or NYC who value face-to-face collaboration. You’ll be joining the Demand Services Team, which is currently focused on high-impact work: dismantling legacy constraints to unlock new revenue streams. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Are a NestJS pro who has scaled production-grade backend systems. * Have hands-on experience using Kafka for event-streaming and decoupling services. * Enjoy mentoring junior engineers and establishing coding standards. * Can navigate legacy Ruby code while building the future in TypeScript.
