Location: Home based - EMEA
Type: Full-time
This role is designed for a data-driven professional who sits at the intersection of Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Data Science. It is not a traditional recruiting role; instead, it is for someone with a strong academic background in Psychology who can apply scientific rigor, SQL, and statistical analysis to optimize global hiring processes. You’ll be tasked with moving beyond intuition to predict and measure hiring outcomes through behavioral assessments and psychometric data.
The position offers a truly remote-first culture with an EMEA-based team, supplemented by international travel for team sprints (2–4 times per year). While the base salary is not specified, Canonical offers a performance-driven annual bonus, a $2,000 yearly professional development budget, and unique perks like Priority Pass and travel upgrades for work events. It’s an ideal environment for those who value autonomy and objective, meritocratic decision-making.
**You might be a good fit if you...**
* Hold a degree in Psychology and have a deep interest in psychometric validity and behavioral interviewing.
* Are proficient in SQL and Python/R for identifying patterns in large datasets.
* Have experience in the tech or consulting sectors and understand how to scale hiring without losing quality.
* Enjoy working independently across time zones while maintaining a high level of personal organization.
