This role is ideal for a mid-level infrastructure or systems engineer with at least 5 years of experience managing production-scale cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure). You should have a deep understanding of Linux, Kubernetes, and RDBMS administration. While MongoDB experience is preferred, the team values strong diagnostic skills and a willingness to master the "big data" ecosystem. The most distinctive part of this position is the schedule: while you start on a standard Monday–Friday routine for training, you will eventually transition to a permanent **Wednesday–Sunday** work week. Based in Palo Alto, you’ll work in-person three days a week and remotely on the weekends. The compensation is highly competitive, ranging up to $176k, with exceptional benefits like 20 weeks of parental leave and equity. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Want a non-traditional work week that trades weekends for mid-week days off. * Are an expert at troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters and large-scale backup/DR strategies. * Enjoy high-pressure, customer-facing technical problem solving. * Are willing to pursue a MongoDB DBA certification within your first six months.
