This role is designed for a seasoned cybersecurity professional with a deep background in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and threat modeling. It’s ideal for someone who has worked in high-stakes environments—like tech giants or government intelligence—and understands how to track adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) within the open-source software supply chain.
As a leadership position reporting directly to the CISO, you will have significant influence over the security strategy of Ubuntu. This is a fully remote, "home-based worldwide" role, offering a globally distributed work environment. Notable perks include a $2,000 annual learning budget, performance-driven bonuses, and twice-yearly international travel for team sprints, complete with Priority Pass and travel upgrades for long-haul flights.
**You might be a good fit if you:**
* Have extensive experience using OSINT tools like Maltego, Shodan, and Trace Labs.
* Can demonstrate a portfolio of custom OSINT scripts or active contributions to the security community.
* Are comfortable translating complex adversary tracking into actionable advice for engineering teams and executives.
* Enjoy the balance of deep technical research with high-level strategic planning.
