This role is ideal for a mid-level UX designer who specializes in the architecture of design systems rather than just individual product features. You should have a systematic mindset, a high level of proficiency in Figma, and experience working within complex, large-scale technical environments. Since this is a distributed team, the role requires a self-motivated professional located in the EMEA region who is comfortable collaborating across borders. A standout feature of this position is the blend of "remote-first" flexibility with high-touch global travel. You’ll work from home but meet your colleagues in person 2–4 times a year at "sprints" in various international locations. The company offers a dedicated $2,000 annual learning budget, a performance-based bonus, and a highly transparent, engineering-led culture centered around open-source software like Ubuntu. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have a portfolio that specifically showcases component libraries, design tokens, and interaction patterns. * Fluently bridge the gap between design and code, comfortable collaborating with engineers via Storybook. * Possess strong academic credentials in design or behavioral science. * Are excited about the challenge of scaling a consistent UI across massive open-source and cloud-based products.
