Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions Actuarial (FCAS) at Protective
This role is designed for a seasoned actuarial leader with a heavy background in Property & Casualty (P&C) valuation. Ideally, you are a Fellow of the Casualty
Work type: remote
Location: Work From Home | Birmingham, AL
Salary: $250,000 – $300,000/yr
Type: Full-time
This role is designed for a seasoned actuarial leader with a heavy background in Property & Casualty (P&C) valuation. Ideally, you are a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) with at least 10 years of experience, specifically within M&A, reinsurance, or strategic financial modeling. Despite the "Mid-level" tag in the listing, this is an executive-level position requiring "executive presence" and the ability to influence a Board of Directors.
The highlight of this position is the high compensation range ($250k–$300k) paired with a fully remote work arrangement, offering rare flexibility for a Vice President role. You will be at the center of the company’s growth strategy, leading high-stakes due diligence and valuation across Statutory and GAAP frameworks. While the role is remote, occasional travel for leadership meetings is expected.
**You might be a good fit if you:**
* Hold an FCAS designation (or ACAS with 15+ years of experience).
* Have deep technical expertise in P&C actuarial modeling and capital frameworks like RBC or BCAR.
* Thrive in high-pressure environments navigating imperfect data and complex corporate transactions.
* Are comfortable translating complex actuarial findings for non-technical executive audiences.
