Job Description

The Wealth Strategist role is designed to provide leverage to our senior estate planning professionals while gaining exposure to complex, multi-entity structures and advanced wealth transfer techniques for clients with taxable estates.

This position blends technical analysis, coordination, and client engagement. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and eager to grow into a senior strategic role within a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities:

● Analyze estate planning documents and prepare comprehensive summaries for advisors and clients.

● Track and administer complex wealth transfer strategies, including GRATs, IDGT sales, SLATs, promissory notes, and intra-family loans.

● Prepare exemption calculations and transfer tax modeling analyses.

● Coordinate drafting and execution of estate planning documents with clients’ outside counsel.

● Prepare client meeting materials, planning illustrations, and internal planning memoranda.

● Participate in client meetings and provide planning updates to advisors.

● Independently manage lower-complexity estate planning engagements under supervision.

● Maintain transaction tracking systems to ensure timely execution and follow-up.

● Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to internal planning best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

● J.D. required; active bar membership preferred.

● 3–6 years of estate planning experience at a law firm, family office, or trust company.

● Strong knowledge of federal estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax rules.

● Experience with advanced planning strategies (GRATs, IDGTs, SLATs, sales to defective trusts) preferred.

● Excellent analytical, organizational, and document review skills.

● Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

● Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously with attention to detail.
