Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Small Commercial Workers Comp, the Product Director will have accountability for driving key strategic items for the $2.2B line of business. The role will require the ability to work independently, think critically, and facilitate between the business unit and other functions across the organization as well as work with external customers.
The ideal candidate will develop detailed knowledge about the Workers Compensation product inclusive of rating, pricing, underwriting and premium audit. This individual will also have a strong knowledge of line of business operational procedures, underwriting strategies, and filed rate management. The candidate will drive a variety of strategies to sustain long-term profitable growth for the line, across core focus areas: including classification, exposure / premium audit, distribution dynamics, & the WC line’s rating / pricing architecture.
This role will be responsible for working with an extended team of business partners consisting of the Transformation Office, Premium Audit, Data Science, Underwriting, State Product Management, Actuarial and Middle & Large segment partners and other areas that support the business to monitor market dynamics, understand our customers better, and lead efforts to make changes to business offerings and processes.
